La Choulette Blonde is a rich-flavored and refreshing ale that has all of the delicacy and complexity of a great wine, and more. Dry, slightly sweet maltiness, spicy, fruity overtones, brisk hoppiness, and perfectly refreshing effervescence. Highly esteemed in France for its alluring aroma.

As for the brewery itself, La Choulette is a charming farmhouse brewery whose beers are classics of the French “Bière de Garde” style. The brewery dates back to 1885. Alain and Martine Dhaussy bought it in the 1970’s and revived traditional brewing there. Today, La Choulette’s bières de gardes stand among the greatest beers in the world.

“Classic example of the spicy bières de garde made by small breweries in Northern France.” – Michael Jackson.
