La Choulette Ambrée is the classic amber version of a French bičres de gardes. It has a wonderfully spicy aroma and is fullflavored, but effervescent and refreshing. As for the brewery itself, La Choulette is a charming farmhouse brewery whose beers are classics of the French “Bičre de Garde” style. The brewery dates back to 1885. Alain and Martine Dhaussy bought it in the 1970’s and revived traditional brewing there. Today, La Choulette’s bičres de gardes stand among the greatest beers in the world.
