Don’t even think of missing this week’s show, as the Shelton Brothers welcome Jan Skala and Adrian Šaroch, of Czech Republic’s Pivovar Kout na Šumavě, to the studio.

The men from Kout, off the beaten path in the hinterlands of the Bohemian Forest, describe the factors leading to the creation of the widely misunderstood Pilsner style- mysterious yeast brought to the area via a Swiss monk, lagering experimentation carried out in small brew houses throughout the region, and the legendary quality of the local water, barley, and hops, which sealed the Czech homeland’s reputation as the world’s “cradle of beer.”
