“The Hacienda was the club at the middle of the Manchester Indy music scene in the late 80s/90s. So when Claudia from the Independent Manchester Beer Convention came down to brew a collaborative beer for their 2014 event with former Britpop band frontman and Weird Beard brewer Daniel Vane, it seemed an obvious choice for another music-related beer name. Hacienda is also the Spanish word for estate or planatation. With that in mind we created a saison with some dark grains for colour, hops with a big kick of orange in the flavour and aroma, and the addition of some Seville orange peel in the kettle and the fermenter.”
